How to Use
Simply pop one Wax Melt in a Oil/Wax Burner, find a suitable place – somewhere out of reach of children and pets, somewhere you’re not going to accidentally knock it over. We also recommend using a heat mat, coaster, or plate – The burner will get hot and it could cause damage to some surfaces.
Place a Tealight Candle into the burner and light. For Large rooms or large Burners you may require two or more wax melts but we recommend you begin with one, if you decide to add more than one please ensure this will not cause the dish to overflow.
Once lit you will see the wax melt starting to melt within 1-2 minutes, burner size depending. Do Not Move A Lit Burner this is dangerous. It is normal to see a vapour rise from the burner, this is not smoke.
Very rarely you may hear a small sizzling or popping noise and see visible bubbles like a pot of boiling water, although it may sound worrying, have you recently wiped/washed your burner? This normally happens when you have got moisture in the well of your burner. It usually goes away once the wax has warmed up fully, but it’s best to blow out and clean your burner again making sure it is completely dry before use as it can spit wax up out of the dish. This is tiny droplets of water that may have got in during cleaning, storing your wax melts in a damp place or keeping your burner next to a window that is prone to condensation. We can not be held liable for any damage caused by this.
Please leave the burner to distinguish itself usually set by the type of tealight you’ve used (ie,4 hours). You can blow it out if needed but you must be extra careful not to blow the hot wax melt out of the dish, try to blow on the candle directly. Again Do Not Move the burner until the wax melt has set back to a solid form.
You may choose to re light the same wax melt again on another day but expect a weaker scent, for medium and large burners you can simply add another wax melt to the existing dish (make sure there is enough room in the dish, don’t let it overflow).
When wax has set hard, gently pop it out by using the corner of an old plastic card (for example an old bank card)! Simply put a little pressure on one edge and the wax pops out in a solid disc. OR After blowing out leave to cool slightly, just before it starts to solidify drop a couple of cotton wool balls to absorb the wax. Leave for a few more minutes to cool further and remove. Be careful it may still be hot.
